I just saw the best movie of the year
Wake up Sheeple, the best movie just dropped! Well. Sorta, the movie's been out for about a month now, and I didn't even know. And no, I'm not talking about Obsession (although that's like the objective best movie of the year if we're honest), I'm talking about The Sheep Detectives.
If you haven't heard of this movie, I don't blame you, they really didn't put any effort into marketing this movie, but it's one of the best movies that came out this year. I think it's straight to streaming but still, an amazing movie!
I don't really want to dive into spoilers. I just wanted to yap about how much this movie reminded me of childhood. Maybe I just don't watch a lot of movies recently anymore, but I don't know if any recent movies capture that kind of charm that Stuart Little, Cats Vs. Dogs, Babe: Pig in the City, and Charlotte's Web. The closest I could think of is Paddington and Winnie-the-Pooh and even those, although both are amazing movies, don't really have that same kind of feel to me idk. Whereas this movie just really brought back that feeling to me. It's like that meme from Ratatouille with the food critic if you know what I'm saying.
Anyway, if you haven't seen this movie yet, then what are you doing? Go watch it you dweeb.
If you need me to sell it more, it has Hugh Jackman.
